We read The Snowy Day this week and discussed the characters, setting, problem, and solution. Next, students brainstormed things they like to do on a snowy day and then had an opportunity to write about it. We also made our very own snow out of shaving cream and glue. When it dries it is puffy and soft like a marshmallow and looks 3D on the paper. Students colored a picture of Peter, the main character, and placed him in the snow.
