This week in math I introduced 3D shapes. We grouped shapes into categories based on flat surfaces and curved surfaces. We also counted how many flat surfaces a cube, rectangular prism, cylinder, pyramid, and cone had. My students learned that a sphere only has curved surfaces. One of our favorite lessons was when we actually ate food that represented these 3D shapes. We had a delicious time learning!!!!!
Makenna, Carter, and Addison can't wait to eat their 3D snacks!
Bugle Chip = Cone
Tootsie Roll = Cylinder
Wafer Cookie = Rectangular Prism
Carmel = Cube
Whopper = Sphere
