In science we have been studying about what makes day and night. Students have been learning all about the moon and the sun. Each student wrote a narrative story about going to visit the moon and also used Oreos to represent the different phases of the moon. It was definitely a tasty lesson😊. We have also discussed a variety of new vocabulary words such as orbit and craters. Students used a reading app called Epic to search for nonfiction books about the sun and filled out an CAN/HAS/IS graphic organizer with facts that they read about. They did a great job working in pairs and then sponge painted a sun craft.
