Landforms and Bodies of Water

We have been busy in science learning about the landforms and bodies of water that cover Earth's surface.  My first graders learned a few fun hand motions to represent four different types of landforms and also used playdoh to mold and shape mountains, hills, valleys, and plains.  The class made a flip up foldable to match landform illustrations to their descriptions. Each student also created and labeled a layering craft of all the different types of landforms we have been studying.

As we learned about the different types of bodies of water that cover's Earth's surface, students wrote facts about each type of body of water on a foldable.  We finished up our unit with an informational video on Discovery Ed and each student made landform and water posters.
