What Is Soil?

My first graders “dug” right in this week as talked about SOIL. It is one of Earth’s very important natural resources. We learned about the different layers of soil and what soil is made of. Each student made a tasty soil snack today with marshmallows, different types of cereal, and M & M’s to represent the soil layers. Oh.... let’s not forget about the gummy worms to top it off=)
